FlexiGlide sliding folding shutters lock with a key, shoot bolts, hook bolts or a combination of these. They have a unique ratchet mechanism that ensures the shutter closes securely, even on uneven surfaces. All posts are integral for maximum security.
There are a number of locking posts, offering a variety of locking options. We normally suggest a locking post arrangement based on the characteristics and layout of the opening to be secured.
FlexiGlide floor sockets have a stainless steel dust cap that protects the spring mechanism underneath. Their bevelled surfaces are raised only 2mm from the floor so they provide no trip-hazard and are safe for users of the opening.
FlexiGlide shutters are manual security systems. They close by pulling the curtain shut and open by pushing it open. Each locking post has a locking handle for opening and closing the shutter curtain.
FlexiGlide locking posts have a self-adjusting locking mechanism, which auto-adjusts to floor and ceiling height. This system prevents the locking mechanism from jamming so that FlexiGlide shutters lock securely and easily even if there are irregularities in the floor or bulkhead. It is a sophisticated locking system unique to the FlexiGlide shutter range.
FlexiGlide locking posts are larger than those of many other brands of sliding folding shutter. We also make the locking knobs from heavy-duty aluminium instead of plastic so that FlexiGlide sliding shutters are stronger and more durable.
FlexiGlide sliding shutters hang from an extruded aluminium channel. They don't have a bottom track. We can bend the top track into virtually any shape and so FlexiGlide sliding shutters can follow virtually any curve.
We make the top track from heavy-duty aluminium. It has a beautifully rounded finish and it is possible to recess the track so the opening stays completely clear.
As standard, the top-track comes in the same finish as the shutter curtain. However, you can choose to have it in a different colour, for example, to match your ceiling.
There are 6 models of FlexiGlide sliding folding shutters, each with their own type of panel. See our sliding folding shutter products for an overview of FlexiGlide model types.
